Hard to think about Christmas when it is so hot - but we are having our Christmas in July Party soon - so 411 gets the creative juices flowing.
I love the "Be of Good Cheer" designer paper. There isn't a page I don't like. For Christmas how can you go wrong with Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler?
I pulled out the Bells and Boughs for sentiment and used the bells for the design. Colored them with blender pen and added a few pearls.
Then I cut an extra green with the Labels Framelits, cut it in half and poked it out both ends to highlight the design.
OK - it is still hot - but feels a little more like Christmas!
Merry July

Birthday Wishes
It's been a while since I have submitted to 411 and this week I am inspired. Convention is around the corner and Priscilla and I are headed to our VERY FIRST CONVENTION.
I decided that the new Christmas Blessings stamp set could be used for other occasions too. I had fun water coloring with our new colors - Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals. Love these new IN colors with ribbon and designer paper that coordinate. I used Lucky Limeade as the green and of course had to perk it up with some pearls.
Hope to meet some of you at Convention! 411 always inspires me and gets me to design my own cards. Thanks to our operators.

Priscilla's May 411 Challenge
This sketch was fun but quite a challenge. I turned to my new favorite stamp set, Bordering on Romance for inspiration. I felt that the flowers should be pink and as the sketch has so many elements I used embossing folders for the layers instead of Designer Paper. The ribbon is the retiring Pretty in Pink taffeta and I colored a piece of Organza ribbon with the Pretty in Pink marker. Card stock is Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White. The Designer paper is Pink Pirouette from the Subtle collection. Add some pretty Pearls. I used the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder and the little hearts from the Adorning Accents embossing folder. All materials Stampin'UP!
Check out the 411 site here to see what the operators did with this sketch and join the fun - submit your own interpretation of the sketch.

Priscilla's April 411 post
I had to try making a card using this weeks fun 411 sketch. You can see that I have followed this sketch closely using SU supplies that I have been hording - like the buttons and the brad on the bow.
The focal point piece uses SU watercolor paper stamped with the Bordering on Romance stamp set. The ink is Baja Breeze, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz. Add a piece of the new smooches Daffodil Delight DSP and layer over Baja Breeze card stock with some Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon. The Whisper White piece of card stock is embossed with the little hearts in the Adorning Accents folder. Don't you just love the SU product names? Thanks for looking!

Toni's Birthday
It's Toni's birthday and I have the gift but no paper or card. Naturally I go to my craft room and find a piece of tissue paper wrapped around the dish I just bought at Home Goods. I iron the tissue paper and stamp it all over with the flower from the Raining Flower stamp set and wrap my gift. Added a piece of Old Olive striped ribbon and a paper flower I just figured out how to make. What fun! Then I made a card using the same stamp set. Pretty neat if I do say so myself. I think Toni liked the card and wrapping paper anyway.

Saturday 411 sketch Challenge #225
http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2011/10/saturday-sketch-challenge-225.html
Noice that the Christmas tree is 3-D but if you want to insert the card into an envelope all you have to do is flatten the tree. Don't worry it will pop right back up with just a brief "fluffing' of the branches. The Christmas tree on this card is cased from Mary Fish's 3-D Christmas tree made with the Petite Pennant Builder punch.
Mary has made a great video demonstrating this technique and you can view it at http://www.youtube.com/user/stampinpretty#p/u/4/gPObuX7a8CE . The Lace Ribbon Border punch was used makes the two embellishments at the top and bottom of the card instead of plain card stock and DSP. I added some gold Stampin'UP! gold glitter for the star. I wasn't sure if I liked this card until it was finished but the sparkle of the gold glitter and the Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon tie everything together.
