Priscilla's Stamping 411 challenge sketch #152

I just noticed that I am using the same stamp set as two of the samples done by the operators - so I hope that mine is a little different.  Usually I do not look at the samples until I put mine on the blog just so my design is not too influenced by the enormous talent shown in the operators designs.  This stamp set just calls out for a "shabby Chic" treatment so everything is sponged - hard to see on the So Saffron card stock but it is there.  Now mount the focal point on dimensionals and also the coconut drink and I must say I really like this card.  Colors used are Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, and the lovely Old Olive.

This is this weeks 411 sketch.  Check out the 411 web site at  http://stamping411.blogspot.com/ for some great tips and the operators take on this sketch.  Now you try out this sketch and have fun!

Priscilla's 411 Challenge for sketch #151

As you see this weeks sketch has an oval shape for the focal point but since I do not have this shape this is as close as I could come to having an oval in my card design.  Also, I switched a few things so I hope this meets the criteria for this sketch.  The stamp sets are Watercolor Trio and Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The colors are Very Vanilla, Mellow Moss, So Saffron, Regal Rose, and Rose Red - oh yes and Versa Mark for the watermark effect on the card base.  Then of course a little sponging some ribbon and a pretty little bow.

Dream Night

What a blast at Dream Night with Shelli Gardner - cofounder and CEO  of Stampin Up.   She is a sweetheart - and it was such fun to meet her in person.  Pictured are Priscilla, Barbara, Shelli, Barbara's daughter Laura and her friend Heather all in their pajamas.    We spent the whole evening celebrating with other demonstrators, doing some stamping and having a fabulous chocolate fountain dessert bar!

It was indeed a Pajama Party.  Dawn - the gal who put on the party had pajamas made for Shelli and herself.  Complete with cute flip flops.  The cake was actually wonderful little bags made for each of us.  These were rolled up and shaped into a cake!        We are so excited by all the things we made and did - that we want to plan a Tropical Party and share it with all of you.  Some great ideas.

Priscilla's Dream Night Swap

Tonight Barbara and I will be at a huge Stamping party in New Jersey where there will be "swapping" going on.  This is the card that I designed for my swap.  I sure hope that the people I swap with like my card. The colors are Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Apricot Appeal, Always Artichoke, and Very Vanilla.  My friend Claire helped me make some of my swaps and made a whole bunch of Little Leaves for me to use.   I'm not sure I could have finished my 48 swaps without Claire's help.

Barbara's 411 (SSC149) & color challenge

Here is a 411 challenge.  I tipped it sideways so the image would fit.  I thought a nest of eggs appropriate for Mother's Day.  My chicks have flown the coop - but I had fun creating this image.  The nest of eggs is done with watercolor pencils and blender pen.  The color challenge uses Certainly Celery, Garden Green, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip.   A wonderful combination for natural things.
