Here we all are displaying our cards- Claire, Gayle, Lisa, Priscilla, Barbara K. , Barbara O., Susan, Gloria, and Suzanne. We had a great time making cards with various embossing techniques. We even tried the reinking technique with the Fifth Avenue Floral design. Check out our roses below.
Lisa is coloring her Fifth Ave Rose using the reinker watercolor technique. We used Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, and Rose red reinkers. Some also added a little Apricot Appeal reinker to obtain a bit of a peachy tone in the rose. Such fun to watch the colors flow on the wet shimmer paper.
Susan proudly displaying her very first hand stamped card - She did a great job!
Some of the lovely roses we made. Wait till they are cut out - The roses are beautiful!
This Valentine card used a combination of white and iridescent ice embossing powder. The heart sparkles. We punched holes at top and bottom to run the ribbon through it. We also used the new Sending Love designer paper. There were assorted sentiments - and people made several so that they could put the sentiment on when ready to use. We love to have cards that can be adapted.
The tulips in this card were from a favorite stamp set - Garden Whimsey. We used Regal Rose and Soft Suede pens to color the stamp and then stamping off technique where you stamp once then do the second without reinking. Of course we love the new Well Scripted sentiment and the butterfly embosslit from the new Mini catalog.
This next card we made with our watercolor roses. The card was cased from the beautiful "Blue Rose" card posted by Vicki at Split Coast Stampers See her card and a link to the tutorial at:
The colored rose is mounted with dimensionals on embossed Whisper White card stock with the Little Leaves made with the Big Shot.
The last card we made during the class uses Very Vanilla, Bravo Burgundy, and brushed gold card stock and is embossed in gold using the Asian Artistry stamp Set. All products are Stampin'UP!
Great cards! Looks like everyone had a great time.
