I had more fun with this weeks 411 challenge than with any of the other challenges and believe me all the challenges have been lots of fun. This challenge card was inspired by a card I saw demonstrated on the Demonstrators web site. Since I am going to France in September and I liked the card so much I bought the stamp set demonstrated - Artistic Etchings and the Newsprint DSP. I CASED part of that card to make the focal point of this challenge card. I added the Eiffel tower to make it a little different. I put my Cutter Kit to use for the first time this week to really scruff up the card stock and also tore up the Newsprint Designer Series Paper (DSP) to help get a vintage look. Some More Mustard sponging and then a few "age spots" with the color spritzer tool to add to the vintage look. Even the Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon is sponged with More Mustard ink to make it look old. Notice the "jewel" in the crown. It does shows up a lot more in real life. To make this "jewel" you use glue on a gold brad then dip the brad in Dazzling Diamond glitter and Voila! you have a dazzling jewel for your crown. Check out the 411 site at http://stamping411.blogspot.com/ to see what the talented operators have done with this sketch. Also, I see that three of the operators have used the same stamp set as I did here but this is the card I wanted to make.
THis is just gorgeous I love it all!
